Three Millionth Volume

In tribute to James Platt White, MD (1811-1881), one of the founders of the School of Medicine in 1846 and its first Professor of Obstetrics and Diseases of Women and Children, the three millionth volume of the University Libraries was added to the History of Medicine Collection of the Health Sciences Library. Jacob Rueff's De conceptu et generatione hominis published in Zurich in 1554, was donated by George M. Ellis, MD, Class of 1945.
