Newsletter is published quarterly and contains news and
activities of NEMO members, as well as useful information on resources
and events in the world of map making, map librarianship, and geography.

NEMO Membership is $15 per year. Membership
year runs June-May and includes a subscription to the NEMO Newsletter.

USGS Maps of New England & New York (University of New Hampshire,
Dimond Library). Digitized collection of topographic maps of New England states
and New York State from the 1890s to 1950s. Involved in production of this resource is Meredith Ricker, GovDocs Assistant. Thelma Thompson is Government Documents & Maps Librarian, in the Government Documents Department, which also houses the map collection.

MAGIC: Map and Geographic Information Center (University of Connecticut
Libraries, Storrs, CT). MAGIC, The University of Connecticut's Map
Library, collects maps, atlases, gazetteers, aerial photographs, and
digital geospatial data, as well as resources on the history and current
state of cartography. NEMO member Sarah Stanwicks, Map & Geospatial
Data Librarian, assists patrons with reference questions and GIS data from the MAGIC Web site. Also, NEMO member Bill Miller, Assistant to the Map Librarian, assists patrons with reference questions and works with cataloging and digitization of aerial photographs of Connecticut.
Maine Historical Society Map Collection. Over 5,000 print and manuscript maps are housed at the Maine Historical Society Research Library. The online bibliographic database MINERVA includes the bibliographic descriptions of the Society's map collection. Contact NEMO member Frances Pollitt for more information/comments.
