Notable Features:
An industrial district that by 1850 had slaughterhouses,
warehouses, factories, and tenements. The Irish were the largest ethnic
group and the area was notorious for gangs. Contains De Witt Clinton
park, and also on the edge is the Port Authority bus terminal.
Has a location close to Lincoln Center and the Theater District.
