Notable Features:

Morningside Park and Riverside Park were designed by Frederick Law Olmsted, who designed the landscape, and Calvert Vaux, who designed architecture structures, such as bridges and small buildings.

Columbia University and Riverside Church.

Columbia University was founded in 1754 by Royal charter for “the instruction and education of youth in the learned languages and liberal arts and sciences.” Today the University comprises three undergraduate and thirteen graduate schools.
