UNITED STATES AIR FORCE ACADEMY
COLORADO SPRINGS, COLORADO

The mission of the Air Force Academy is to inspire and develop outstanding young men and women to become Air Force officers with knowledge, character and discipline; motivated to lead the world's greatest aerospace force in service to the nation.

The Academy provides a solid leadership foundation through a wide array of military training programs. The Cadet Wing organization, much like an active Air Force unit, allows each cadet the opportunity to learn and practice leadership methods, first through followership, and later in leadership positions within the Cadet Wing.

The Academy's athletic program develops the physical fitness confidence, and skills necessary to be an Air Force officer. You'll take physical education for four years and participate in intramural or intercollegiate sports. Many cadets compete as varsity or junior-varsity athletes. The Academy offers various intercollegiate sports for men and women.

If you like a challenge and think you have what it takes to be the best, consider competing for an appointment to the Air Force Academy. Cadets who graduate from the Academy receive a bachelor of science degree and a commission as a second lieutenant in the Air Force.

Air Force Academy cadets receive full four-year college scholarships. There's no tuition. They also get free room and meals, medical and dental care and earn monthly salaries.

To be eligible to enter the Academy, you must be:
