Description

Art Abstracts provides access to the literature of the visual arts and architecture worldwide. Among the subjects covered are: art, archaeology, art history, architecture, city planning, museum studies, crafts, folk art, textiles, graphic arts, industrial design, interior design, landscape architecture, photography, television, video, and film.

Leads to citations from 1984 to the present, and since 1994, abstracts from leading international art publications, including periodicals, yearbooks, museum bulletins, competition and award notices, exhibition listings, interviews, and book and exhibition reviews.

Users can search Art Abstracts simultaneously with Art Index Retrospective to retrieve additional citations from 1929 to present. To do this, click on "Open Database Selection Area" near the top of the search page and check off both databases. Then proceed with the search.
