Description

BIOSIS Previews, Biological Abstracts and Biological Abstracts / RRM (Reports, Reviews and Meetings), is a comprehensive source for biology information. BIOSIS Previews is now compiled and produced by Thomson Scientific via their Web of Science search interface. BIOSIS provides access to more than 18 million citations (print and online; about 500,000 new citations are added annually) in the biological literature. Coverage includes: agriculture, biochemistry, bioinformatics, biomedicine, biotechnology, botany, ecology, genetics, genomics, microbiology, molecular biology, pharmacology, physiology, proteomics, public health, and zoology.

Leads to citations and abstracts to journal articles, conference papers, books, U.S. Patents, and technical reports.

Additional Resources are available, such as, “Biology Browser,” a database of resources and links for the life sciences information community, and “Index to Organism Names,” the world’s largest online database of scientific organism names. There are also various online training guides available.
