Searching Tips: Details about searching are available from the Help button. The asterisk can be used as a wildcard (truncation) on the left or right or both sides of a search term. Hence, *cancer* will retrieve anticancer, cancerous, cancers, etc. Words with spaces in between are searched as exact phrases. The logical operators "AND" and "OR" can be used in search expressions to combine search terms.

Getting Started: To Search - the Basic Search screen permits searching authors and words from the complete text, article or section titles, figures, and tables. The Advanced Search screen allows combination of different search terms from up to five fields. Searches can be limited by date and broad topic categories. To Browse Table of Contents - click on the "List Articles" button on the home page to get an alphabetical list of chapter titles.
