Abstracts are available for dissertations published from 1980 forward. Prior to those years, abstracts are available in the printed Dissertation Abstracts back to 1938. Although all UB Ph.D. dissertations are indexed, electronic full-text is available only from 1926-1951 and 1997 forward.To download the full-text, click on the "Free" PDF links that appear in the display of search results under the dissertation title. The first 24 pages of a document can be previewed prior to downloading the entire text. Though there are a small number of UB master's theses in the database, the BISON - UB Libraries Catalog should be used to locate master's theses.
