Federal Election Campaign Laws
This volume is a complete compilation of federal election
campaign laws: the Federal Election Campaign Act of 1971, as amended, and as
codified in titles 2 and 26 of the United States Code; statutory provisions
which are not under the Commission's jurisdiction but are relevant to persons
involved with federal elec-tions; and a subject index to titles 2 and 26 prepared
by the FEC.
FEC Regulations
FEC regulations appear in title 11 of the Code of Federal Regulations. Subject
indexes pre-pared by FEC staff are included.
FEC Record
Published as a binder insert, this monthly newsletter is the primary source
of information on Commission activity. It covers reporting, advisory opinions,
litigation, legislation, statistics, regulations, compliance, Federal Register
notices, FEC procedures and staff, and publications.
Annual Report
The Commission's Annual Report to the President and the Congress describes
the agency's activities during the year. The report summarizes advisory opinions
and litigation and explains new developments in the administration of the election
law, including Presidential elec-tions. Commission recommendations for legisla-tive
changes are included.
Supporting Federal Candidates:
A Guide for Citizens
This illustrated booklet is for the general public. It discusses how citizens
can support federal candidates through contributions, volun-teer work and independent
expenditures. It also explains how to obtain and use campaign finance data compiled
by the Commission.
Campaign Guides
Four separate guides explain how the law affects, respectively, four different
audiences: candidates, parties, corporations/unions and nonconnected PACs. In
each guide, election law requirements for the "three R's" (registra-tion,
recordkeeping and reporting) are explained and illustrated with examples of
completed FEC forms. The guides also discuss fundraising and different ways
of supporting federal candidates.
* This guide also pertains
to national banks; incorporated membership organizations, trade associations
and coopera-tives; and corporations without capital stock.
** This guide includes information on partnership PACs.
Selected Court Case Abstracts
This collection provides summaries of court decisions pertinent to the Federal
Election Campaign Act. It includes cases dating back to 1976 and is updated
annually.
