Description

Factiva is a powerful database system which provides current and retrospective news stories, periodical articles, and financial data from thousands of sources worldwide, covering virtually every subject category. Factiva is a joint venture of Dow Jones and Reuters. It replaces the former Dow Jones Interactive (DJI) database, providing all of the content found in DJI plus an additional 2,000 sources.

Factiva consists of several different components. The two major services are described below:

· Publications Library. Full-text stories from nearly 8,000 newspapers, magazines, newsletters, and wire service worldwide, plus transcripts of television and radio news programs. Includes full-text of the Wall Street Journal from June 1979 to present. This is the default setting for Factiva.

· Company Screening. Click on the Company Screening Tab to create a customized list of public companies by industry, location, size, and/or performance measures. For any company, retrieve an extensive financial profile, an industry comparison report, or selective financial analysts' reports.
