Description

World News Connection ( WNC ) covers news broadcasts from throughout the world. The Central Intelligence Agency and its contractors translate this information into English. Emphasis is upon popular, newsworthy topics that deal with political, social, and economic issues throughout the world. Policy documents and other excerpts from foreign government publications are sometimes translated as well. The National Technical Information Service, a section of the US Department of Commerce, maintains the World News Connection database, and Dialog publishes it.
