Wharton Research Data Services (WRDS) is a comprehensive data management system providing historical and current financial information. The data, licensed to the Wharton School (University of Pennsylvania) from various sources, is intended solely for research purposes. It consists of a multitude of datasets. The University at Buffalo currently has access to the following:Compustat
Provides more than 300 annual and 100 quarterly Income Statement, Balance Sheet, Statement of Cash Flows, and supplemental data items for over 7,500 publicly-traded companies. Also available within this dataset is information on aggregates, industry segments, banks, market prices, dividends, and earnings.
Center for Research in Security Prices (CRSP)
This dataset contains a comprehensive collection of standard and derived security data for the NYSE, AMEX and Nasdaq Stock Market.
Dow Jones Averages
Comprised of The Dow Jones Industrial Average (DJIA), The Dow Jones Transportation Average (DJTA) and The Dow Jones Utility Average (DJUA).
Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation (FDIC)
Financial data for all entities filing the Report Of Condition and Income (Call Report) as well as some savings institutions filing the OTS Thrift Financial Report (TFR). These entities include Commercial banks, savings banks, or savings and loans.
Foreign Exchange Rates
Foreign Exchange (FX) rates for over 30 world currencies and trade-weighted indices.
NYSE Trade and Quote (TAQ)
Intraday transactions data (trades and quotes) for all securities listed on the New York Stock Exchange (NYSE) and American Stock Exchange (AMEX), as well as Nasdaq National Market System (NMS) and SmallCap issues.
Philadelphia Stock Exchange (PHLX)
Historic data on options and implied volatility for seven major international currencies traded on the PHLX.
