Special Collections An expanded version of an exhibit created to accompany the memorial service for UB President Emeritus William R. Greiner is now located in the Special Collections Research Room. Major accomplishments of UB's thirteenth president are presented with emphasis on enhanced community collaboration, student life and the building of on-campus apartment complexes, athletics, international education, research growth, and a display of related University Archives holdings. |

Lockwood Memorial Library The exhibit features acclaimed author Margaret Atwood, Canada's most famous author. Her powerful voice speaks through a host of media including novels, short stories, children's books, poetry, criticism, social commentary, cinema, painting, and photography. She visits UB in the Distinguished Speaker Series on March 3, 2010. The exhibit has been created by the Arts, Humanities and Social Sciences Team and the Communication Office. |

Health Sciences Library This exhibit tells the history of midwifery from the 2nd century CE to the present. Focusing on the dramatically changed role of midwives, the exhibit displays photos of traditional midwives practicing throughout history as well as statistics, definitions, and information about the current struggle for birth options in America and abroad. Capen Libraries This exhibit features selected images from The North American Indian by Edward Sheriff Curtis, an American photographer whose work has exerted a powerful influence on the image of American Indians in popular culture. Originally published from 1907-1930, these photographs portray the traditional customs and lifestyles of Native tribal cultures which Curtis believed were on the verge of extinction in the early 20th century. |

Music Library Baird Hall, 1st Floor "Treasures from the Collection of Florian Bruyas" October 5, 2009 - present This exhibit, curated by Lina Terjesen, showcases volumes from the library’s collection of opera scores collected by Florian Bruyas, French Senator, Director of the Lyon Conservatory, and author of Histoire de l’Operette en France (1855-1965), now considered a seminal volume in the study of French opera. Bruyas annotated the scores with information about performances of the works, including names and information about cast members. Many of the scores contain newspaper and magazine clippings or illustrations of stage designs for the operas. |
