This resource is available to University faculty, staff, and students and onsite visitors. It indexes the literature about the history of the United States and Canada . It provides citations and abstracts for the contents of over 2,000 scholarly journals, dissertations, and lists book and media reviews from over 100 key historical journals. It includes full text articles from the electronic resources The History Cooperative, Project Muse, and JSTOR. Coverage begins with 1954.

The above URL leads to access restricted to University faculty, staff, and students and onsite visitors, but the Buffalo and Erie County Public Library (BECPL) also has a subscription. This is an online library of primary and secondary material on all aspects of American history. Full-text periodical articles, a wide range of primary source documents, images, subject encyclopedias and dictionaries, and a useful student research guide are included. Perhaps its best substantive feature is the inclusion of articles from several major topical encyclopedias. A search in this source will be profitably complemented by a search of appropriate print topical encyclopedias, but this can be a good place to begin.
