Companies that exhibited at events like the Pan-American Exposition often noted so in their ads. The awarding of any honors at such events was certainly promoted. Notice the use of the terms "wholesome," "healthful" and "nutritious." Keep in mind that there were few regulations to check false advertising and that clinical evidence was not necessary to back claims of nutritional value.
