Print/Copy Debit Cards

Q. What is a print/copy debit card?

A. With the adoption of the iprint@UB program, the print/copy debit card pays for printing and photocopying in the UB Libraries

Q. Who needs to use one?

A. You will need a print/copy card for printing from a Library Research Station if you are a UB Libraries guest (including alumni) or a UB student, faculty and staff member who has exceeded your iprint allocation. All UB Libraries photocopy machines require the use of the print/copy card. The photocopy machines do not accept cash.

Q. Where can they be purchased? How much do they cost?

A. Print/copy debit cards can be purchased for $1 at wall encoder stations in the following places:

Architecture and Planning Library
Capen Libraries
Health Sciences Library
Law Library
Lockwood Library (in the Cybraries)
Music Library

The $1 payment includes a one-time $0.60 card charge and a $0.40 card credit. You must purchase the card with just a single dollar.  Additional value can then be added to the card with larger denominations. Wall encoder stations accept $1, $5, $10 or $20 bills.

Add value to your print/copy card at a photocopy machine or at any wall encoder station.

Q. What about faculty? Do you still have a departmental account program?

A. Yes. If you need to charge copies to a departmental account or a research grant or need cash receipts, contact Library Administrative Offices, Room 434 Capen Hall (enter through the Capen Libraries) for a print/copy debit card. Also, guest users can purchase debit cards with a company check or purchase order. For more information, call the Library Administrative Offices at (716) 645-2974, Monday-Friday: 9:00 a.m. - 4:00 p.m.

Q. Can I still use my old VendaCard?

A. VendaCards can still be exchanged.
