Lockwood Library is the University's premiere research library in the Social Sciences and Humanities. It is home to the University Libraries' Graduate Library which consists of a portion of the Arts and Sciences collections including Business & Government Documents Reference Center, East Asian Studies Information Resources, Microform collections, the OrCathA Collection (American Orthodox Catholic Alliance), and the Polish Room. Lockwood also houses the Libraries' Central Technical Services (responsible for the Libraries' aquisitions, cataloging, and mail delivery). The six story building has a seating capacity of 2,100, and is capable of holding over 900,000 volumes on thirty miles of shelves.
