Lester Anderson as Vice President of Eduational Affairs of the University at Buffalo, dealing with various education problems and controversies, 1951-1964, including the case of a dental student who charged the Dental School with anti-semitism (1958); a hearing before the State University of New York's Standing Committee on Termination of a faculty member charged with false representation in respect to signing the Feinberg Certificate (1964); transcripts of meetings of the New York State Governor's Committee on the White House Conference on Education (1955); and reports compiled by the University for the Federal Security Agency's Office of Education concerning UB's physical facilities and human resources.

Scope and Content Note

G. Lester Anderson as Vice President of Eduational Affairs of the University at Buffalo kept materials relating to various education problems and controversies including the case of a student who charged the Dental School with anti-semitism (1958), a hearing before the State University of New York's Standing Committee on Termination of a faculty member charged with false representation in respect to signing the Feinberg Certificate (1964), transcripts of meetings of the New York State Governor's Committee on the White House Conference on Education (1955), and reports compiled by the University for the Federal Security Agency's Office of Education concerning UB's physical facilities and human resources..

   1958 case of a dental student who charged the Dental School with anti-semitism. The material invludes a report of the case, correspondence, background data, and working data used to determine the University's position on the case.
1.2-1.5 Feinberg Law
   This material pertains to the 1964 hearing before the State University of New York's Standing Committee on Termination of a SUNYAB faculty member who was charged with false representation in respect to signing the Feibberg Certificate. Included are transcripts of the hearing as well as various supporting documents and evidence.
1.6-1.7 Governor's Committee on the White Hourse Conference on Education
   1955 transcripts of meeting of the New York State Governor's Committee on the White House Conference on Education. [Anderson compiled the New York State report whch was submitted tot he White House Conference.]
1.8 Reports to the Federal Security Agency, 1951-1952
   Reports compiled by the University for the Federal Security Agency's Office of Education concerning the University's physical facilities and human resources. The reports are specifically related to those programs of teaching and research which might be of special significance to the civilian or military defence of the nation. Also included in the file are the raw data submitted by each of the departments used to compile the report.
