3			Study of Higher Education in England, 1966-1968
3			Merger Study, 1966-1969    Working files for G. Lester Anderson's study of the merger of the private University of Buffalo with the State University of New York in 1962. Contains preliminary drafts of the study (1966-1967) and correspondence relating to the project (1967-1969). Also includes background materials, including some original documents (1960-1963) and a copy of Chancellor Clifford C. Furnas' memoir of the negotiations. In 1967, Anderson submitted a draft of his study to a long list of people who had been at the University of Buffalo at the time of the merger. The working files contain the responses of more than fifty faculty and administrators of the University to the merger. Anderson's study was published in Niagara Frontier, the journal of the Buffalo and Erie County Historical Society, in 1972.
