CD-ROMS AND DISKETTES IN
LOCKWOOD GOVERNMENT DOCUMENTS
AND
BUSINESS/GOVERNMENT DOCUMENTS REFERENCE
- Always use a location code of <lobr> for CD-ROMs and diskettes.
-
- Indicate existence of accompanying documentation in a
volume holdings record which contains both the CD-ROM
or diskette and the documentation.
OR
- Create a separate copy statement and volume holdings
record for the documentation if the documentation is
periodical in nature.
OR
- Use a separate bib record for the documentation if GPO
created a separate record.
- Link the CD-ROM or diskette.
- Link the documentation unless it is an unbound periodical.
- If there is a separate copy statement for the documentation,
use a location of <lod>. If there is no separate copy
statement for the documentation, add a temporary location of <lod> for any item record created for the documentation.
- Do not provide location or call number information for the
documentation as a note in the bibliographic record.
