De-Reffing a Serial Item

From your holding screen type "summ - x" ("summ" referring to the summary screen which lists all the items that are linked to that particular copy, and "x" referring to the copy number you want to display.)
From the summary screen, type the number of the item you want to edit, which will bring you to the item screen.
Once on the item screen, using your tab key or error keys, move your cursor to the "temp loc" and erase the information listed using your "erase EOF" key. (This will erase all information from the cursor to the end-of-field.)
Press your "enter" key to change the information.
Print out a new call number without Reference.
Remove the old spine label and replace it with the new spine label.
Send the de-reffed item to Circulation where they will reshelve for the stacks.
