The following is a summary of the present policy on the treatment of oversize materials.
I. Size Requirements for Oversize Designation
II. Reference Materials
CTS will adhere to the following policy:
There will be no automatic designation of oversize for
reference collections for areas serviced by CTS. You may
designate an item as Reference Oversize at the time you
review new receipts in the Acquisitions Department. If you add
'oversize' to the streamer, the Cataloging Department will
catalog and mark the item as Reference Oversize. You may also
request that the item be changed to Reference Oversize after it
has been cataloged and sent to a reference collection. For the
latter situation, follow the same procedure which you now use
for requesting that an item, regardless of size, be moved in
or out of a reference collection.
III. ATLASES (for LML only)
IV. MAP ROOM ATLASES
