The following comprehensive list of biomedical database will assist you in identifying citations to health-related journal articles.Online tutorials are available to guide you with searching MEDLINE, CINAHL, and NLM databases.
A complete list of bibliographic and full-text databases may be found through the UB Libraries Databases by Title or Databases by Subject.
Guide to database access:
UB = Access is restricted to current University at Buffalo faculty, staff, and students. Other individuals are welcome to visit the Health Sciences Library and conduct their research at library workstations.

CINAHL Plus with Full Text via EBSCO (Current Index to Nursing and Allied Health) - Citations to the literature in nursing, occupational therapy, physical therapy, cardiopulmonary technology, emergency service, health education, medical laboratory, medical assistant, medical records, physician assistant, radiologic technology, social service/health care, and surgical technology. Abstracts when available and full text for more than 560 journals. It contains Evidence-Based Care Sheets and Quick Lessons and includes a Cited References Search screen. Search results can be formatted in several popular styles, including APA. |

Faculty of 1000 Medicine - Faculty of 1000 Medicine systematically highlights and critiques the most interesting papers published in the fields of clinical medicine and medical research. A select group of over 2000 individual researchers and clinicians cull the literature for articles they find valuable and give ratings and recommendations to the articles. Faculty of 1000 Medicine can be a valuable current awareness tool for medical researchers and practicing physicians. It can also be accessed via discipline-specific “Top 10” lists or searched by keyword or by MeSH term. |
